Rules and Regulations

Welcome to our luxury villa, we hope that you will fully enjoy your stay here. We trust that your visit will be enjoyable and that you will be settled-in quickly and comfortably. If there is anything that we can do to make your stay any more enjoyable, please do not hesitate to ask our Property Manager.  We thoroughly enjoy our Villa and this experience we want to share with you. We believe in protecting our environment and we have tried to make our Villa tasteful yet eco-friendly. The rustic appearances of the property are part of the design to maintain our desire for rustic country charm.

Only registered guests are allowed on the property, absolutely no guests are allowed.

No drugs, illicit behaviour or any illegal activities are allowed on the property.

Absolutely no smoking please….**

Place plastic & glass bottles in the recycle bins.

Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.

Great care is given to maintain our gardens; as such, we are asking all our guests not to pick on or break any of the plants on the property

Policy

Management reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone they so choose. The staff is instructed to enforce this policy.  This policy is in effect to ensure your personal safety and protection. You may not invite groups of people to the villa for functions, such as family reunions, meetings, weddings etc. without prior written consent. Guests separate from the pre-approved rental party may NOT stay overnight. The occupancy for the villa is as stated in the reservation agreement and may not be modified except by prior written agreement.
 

 

Incidental Expenses/Damages to Property
Your Credit Card information will be taken to cover incidental expenses and/or damages to property.
 

 

Cancellation Charges/Refund Policy
Cancellation charges depend on when we receive notice of the cancellation. Minimum cancellation charges are as follows:

  • If notice is received 31+ days prior to arrival, full refund.
  • If notice is received 30 to 15 days prior to arrival, 50% plus bank charges.
  • If notice is received 14 to 0 days prior to arrival, 100% of the purchase price plus bank charges.
  • No-Shows – 100% of the purchase price plus bank charges.
  • All cancellations must be sent promptly in writing to the property manager at [email protected].
 

 

Changes to Reservations

  • At any point prior to travel, guests making revisions to their booking to upgrade (i.e. add nights, adding rooms, additional persons), there is no charge except for the cost of the additional room / nights / persons.
  • Any other revisions to the booking (i.e. subtracting number of nights, subtracting rooms) the following charges apply:
  •       Received between 30 and 15 days prior to travel – a revision fee of US$120.00 per person would apply.
  •       Received 14 days or less prior to travel – subject to full penalty.
  • All reservation changes must be sent promptly in writing to the property manager at [email protected].
 

 

Trip Cancellation Insurance
The unforeseen often happens in life so unpredictable circumstances may force you to alter your villa vacation travel plans. We therefore recommend trip cancellation insurance to reduce your financial risk in the event of a sudden or late cancellation. PLEASE PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. Trip cancellation insurance will cover you in cases of natural disaster, inability to travel due to illness, etc. Please be sure to verify all terms and conditions with the insurance company of your choice.
 

 

Hurricane Policy
If a Severe Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning is issued for Jamaica, it is possible that Lejartre Retreat may decide to close the resort during your scheduled reservation. Should the resort close, you would be asked not to come or to ensure your personal safety you would be asked to check out and depart the island early. Lejartre Retreat will hold on account for one year, the unused balance of your reservation which may be applied toward the payment for any new reservation beginning within one year of the originally scheduled arrival date. Any new reservations would, of course, be subject to availability. If a Tropical Storm Warning or Hurricane Warning is issued for Jamaica during your scheduled reservation, and we do not ask you to check out and depart the island early, should you decide to leave anyway, you will not be refunded or credited for the unused portion of your stay. Guests who abandon the rooms at Lejartre Retreat for any reason whatsoever have no rights to compensation of any type.
 

Liability

LEJARTRE and its owners, herein after referred to as Lejartre Retreat, assumes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to person, property or otherwise resulting directly or indirectly from acts of God, dangers while at the beach or at sea, fire, breakdown of machinery, equipment, acts of the Government or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, customs regulations, delays or cancellation or changes in itinerary or schedule, or from acts or omissions of any kind or in any way related to the accommodation or transportation offered herein or due to any other cause beyond the control of Lejartre Retreat. No warranty of safety is made by Lejartre Retreat; Clients should use reasonable caution appropriate for living in a foreign country. The villas transportation carriers and other suppliers providing travel or other services are independent contractors and not agents or employees of Lejartre Retreat. Lejartre Retreat is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, thefts or other damages or expenses resulting there from. Specifically the client expressly releases Lejartre Retreat from any and all liability for property loss, personal injury or death occurring for whatever reason at Lejartre, through use of any vehicle and or driver provided for guest’s use, from its transportation providers or from independent contractors.

These terms and conditions constitute the entire Policy Agreement between Lejartre Retreat and you the customer; they shall not be modified except in writing.

  • Laundry fees (up to 3 loads) is US $20
  • Laundry will be done daily by the cleaning staff.

Exercise

  • Zumba is an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance. However, this class will be inspired by different styles of Jamaican dance.
  • Yoga

For any special arrangements you may require, 24 hours notification is needed and if it is at all possible, we will be more than happy to accommodate your wishes.

Check Out

Check out is at 12:00pm

Late check-out fees are not applicable for up to 3 hours. If you find you may need to stay a bit longer let the Property Manager know.
